The Office of Special Programs of the Hickman County School System will begin a systemized destruction of student records.

Federal regulations at 34 C.F.R. 300.624 provide that local education agencies must inform parents when personally identifiable information collected, maintained, or used is no longer needed to provide educational services to the child.

Records for any student born between 1986 and 1993 who received special education services through the Hickman County Schools will be destroyed beginning March 16, 2020.

Please contact the Office of Special Programs at 729-3391, ext. 2 if you wish to take possession of your special education records.
