To All County Commissioners,

Last Friday, June 28th, I met with our County Attorney, Melanie Cagle, to discuss our next move regarding the Burwick lawsuit with which we are now in mediation.

The attorneys representing the Burwick group have reached out and made an offer of settlement and compromise.

We are calling a Special Called Meeting for Thursday, July 18th, 2019 at the Justice Center at 7:00 PM.

Once we call the meeting to order, it is my understanding, we will then meet in Executive Session for the presentation of the offer then reconvene to vote for approval or rejection of that offer.

I would like to encourage all commissioners to attend to hear the offer of settlement and compromise made by the Burwick group and to bring everyone up to speed regarding the mediation process.

Respectively,

Mark A. Bentley
